What is jade?

"Jade" covers two different minerals: nephrite and jadeite. Both are made of tightly interlocked fibres or grains, which makes them unusually tough and resistant to breaking. That is why jade could be carved into thin, detailed objects and tools.

In China, jade has been treasured for thousands of years as a "stone of heaven", linked with virtue, harmony and long life. White jade, such as the points we carry, is also highly valued.

"Jade is soft to the eye and almost unbreakable in the hand, like a calm, strong person."
